East Ridge warn residents about rash of auto thefts

EAST RIDGE, Tennessee (WDEF) – East Ridge Police are looking for suspects in a series of auto thefts.

They happened between last Thursday and Friday (May 31-June 1st) at various homes.

They say the suspects targeted unlocked vehicles during the night.

The thieves entered the vehicles and took personal items like guns, electronics, and one of the vehicles, itself.

So they are warning residents to take precautions.

“Residents are strongly encouraged to take property inside, vehicle doors, and remove spare keys from vehicles.”
