UPDATE: Blood drive scheduled on behalf of confined space rescue victim

EAST RIDGE (WDEF) – On Monday there will be a blood drive on behalf of Warren.

It’s being put on by Chattanooga Police and Fire departments in coordination with Blood Assurance.

It will take place at the Fire and Police Training Center on Amnicola Highway from 7 a.m. until 3 p.m.

According to Blood Assurance, Michael Warren is the son of Chattanooga Police Officer Joe Warren.


EAST RIDGE (WDEF) – East Ridge Fire Rescue, East Ridge Police and Lifeguard EMS were dispatched to # 3 Frawley Road on a victim that had fallen approximately 40 ft into a hole at a construction site.

East Ridge Fire Rescue arrived on the scene and made contact with the patient, Michael Warren, 22. Chattanooga Fire also assisted, setting up ropes and other specialized equipment to remove him from the confine space.

Crews worked together and Life Force Air Medical transported Warren to Erlanger Hospital.
