UPDATE: Police say East Ridge teen found

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – East Ridge Police have released updated information on 13-year-old Matthew Hancock.

Shortly after 2:00 pm Sunday afternoon, East Ridge Police announced Hancock has been found.

Authorities say he was at a friend’s house in Hixson.

East Ridge Fire Rescue, Hamilton County STARS, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Tennessee Bureau of Investigations, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and the Chattanooga Police Department helped the East Ridge Police Department locate Hancock.

EAST RIDGE, Tenn. (WDEF) – Police asked the public for help in locating a missing teen.

East Ridge Police authorities said 13-year-old Matthew Jordan Hancock went missing Saturday afternoon. The teen was last seen at his home near Altamaha Street and Ringgold Road.



Matthew is approximately 5’ tall and 90 pounds, currently has short brown hair, brown eyes, and wears dark rimmed glasses.

At last contact, the boy was riding a blue-colored mountain-styled bicycle.
