UPDATE: Juvenile Dies After Friday’s East Ridge Shooting

UPDATE:

EAST RIDGE (WDEF) – Monserrate Ferrer, the 16 year-old male shot in East Ridge last Friday (2/5), has died. According to Capt. T. Mullinax with the East Ridge Police department, investigators will meet next week with the Hamilton County District Attorney’s Office to discuss the case.

EAST RIDGE (WDEF) – After interviewing a 15 year old about the shooting this afternoon on Bennett Road, East Ridge police have charged the 15 year old.

He has been charged with Aggravated Assault.

Police do not have an update on the condition of the victim late this afternoon.

EAST RIDGE (WDEF) – East Ridge Police are talking to a 15 year old about a shooting this afternoon on Bennett Road.

They found a 16 year old male in the bedroom of the home with a gunshot wound to the head.

He was stabilized and sent to the hospital.

Police do not know his condition at this time.

They have also taken another 15 year old into the station for questioning.

But they say it looks like an accidental shooting at this point.
