Education Commissioner makes stop in Bradley County

CLEVELAND, Tennessee (WDEF)-The Tennessee Commissioner of Education had a stop at Bradley County’s PIE Innovation Center.

Bradley county schools, PIE innovation Center, helps kids learn in the classroom at the same time  gain real life work experience.

Commissioner of education, Penny Schwinn, says she has heard so many great things about this project and wanted to see how it aids kids, not only in the classroom, but in the workforce later in life.

“Lots of grants, community funding, business funding going into this. And I’m just thrilled to be able to actually see what’s being created and what that’s gonna mean for the hundreds of students to get to use it every day,” said Schwinn.

She feels the PIE innovation center project could be a blueprint for other schools throughout the state.
