Eleven Arrested in Whitfield County Child Sex Crime Sting

Whitfield County-(WDEF)Eleven men are behind bars following a multi-agency child sex crime sting in Whitfield County. The arrests mark a significant step forward in protecting children from harm and holding those who try to victimize them accountable, Sheriff Pierce said.

The Whitfield County Sheriff’s Office reported that several of the suspects were already registered sex offenders, while others were undocumented immigrants. The operation, called Operation Hook, involved weeks of undercover work and online surveillance targeting predators who exploit minors.

Sheriff Pierce emphasized that the arrests should serve as a warning.

“Let this operation serve as a clear message. Whitfield County will never be a safe place for predators. We will find you. We will stop you. We will protect our children at all costs,” Pierce said.

The sheriff also urged parents to be vigilant about their children’s online activity.

“This type of crime against children is often conducted through mainstream apps and platforms. It’s very important that we teach our children to be safe on the internet—never talk to strangers on an app or platform,” Pierce said.

Protecting children remains the sheriff’s top priority.

“With relentless determination, protecting our youth requires a strong village,” Pierce added. “Partnerships with agencies like the GBI and the district attorney’s office, along with the support of a community that refuses to tolerate such disgusting crimes, are critical.”

The sheriff’s office says the investigation is ongoing, and more arrests could follow as authorities continue reviewing digital evidence.
