Emily’s List of Weekend Activities: July 8, 2017

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga, and in nearby cities this weekend.

Movies in the Park kicks off on Saturday.

Bring the kids to see a free movie at Coolidge Park each Saturday night in July.

Saturday’s movie is Trolls, and starts at sundown.

Beauty and the Beast, Finding Dory, and Kung Fu Panda 3 will be shown later this month.

Concessions will also be available to buy on site.

Pokémon fans, if you head to Nashville Saturday night, you can trade Pokémon cards, while listening to some great music from the games, performed by the Nashville Symphony.

They’ll be playing new orchestral arrangements, with visuals from both recent and classic Pokémon video games.

Their show will feature music from Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue, and several others.

The concert starts at 7:30 p.m. at the Ascend Amphitheater.

Across the state line, Fourth of July celebrations continue Saturday night at the Georgia Winery for Music in the Vineyard.

Sip on some Southern wine, while enjoying live music from Ben Durham and Ethen Martin.

You can also check out unique gifts from vendors.

Tickets are $5. The event is from 6 to 9 p.m.

In Atlanta, go back to the early 2000s Saturday night, and see Incubus and Jimmy Eat World in concert.

The guitar heavy groups perform at 5:30 p.m. at the Lakewood Amphitheater.

Back in the Scenic City, if you love peaches, you’ll want to head to the First Tennessee Pavilion on Sunday for the Chattanooga Magazine Peach Festival.

More than 150 Chattanooga Market vendors will incorporate peach flavors, smells and themes into their food and items.

Enjoy everything from peach jams, to peach salsa.

The event is from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
