Emily’s List of Weekend Activities – October 26, 2018

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — There’s a lot to do in Chattanooga and in nearby cities this weekend.

Halloween is next week, so you’ll have a chance to get scared this weekend at Acres of Darkness – Haunted Woods and Family Adventure.

You can go through a haunted trail if you dare.

But if you’re not feeling too brave, check out the family area, where you can go on a hay ride, paint a pumpkin, or enjoy a s’more in front of a bonfire.

The family area is open from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m., and the haunted trail from 8 to 11 p.m. both Friday and Saturday.

Another family friendly event is Boo in the Zoo.

You can go trick or treating there, compete in a costume contest, or ride a pony.

The event is happening from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Halloween is also taking over Lake Winnie for Lake WinnepeSPOOKah.

It’s a different “atmosfear” than usual, with haunted rides, eerie edibles, and screaming thrills.

The park is open from 6 to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.

Adults 21 and up can take a trip on the Southern Belle Riverboat Saturday night for a “BOO”ze Cruise.

The two-hour cruise features a costume contest, cash bar, and a DJ to dance the spirits away.

It’s all happening from 10 p.m. until midnight.
