EPB experiences outages following storm front
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)-

EPB crews are working as quickly as possible to make physical repairs to restore the remaining 236 outages following the storm front that moved through the Chattanooga area late Saturday afternoon.
Previous update:
An storm front Saturday afternoon caused damage across the electric system, an equipment failure in the Falling Water substation contributed to the issue causing the vast majority of the 65,000 outages customers experienced.
Utilizing Chattanooga’s smart grid, EPB was able to use automation and remote operation to restore power to almost all of these households within a little more than an hour.
