EPB Free Tree ReLeaf Program

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Over 1,000 trees were given away this weekend as the Free Tree ReLeaf event took place.

EPB customers were given the opportunity to obtain two native plants for their home as supplies lasted.

The event took place this weekend at the Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center Native Plant Nursery where customers were able to select from several native plant species.

The goal of increasing the city’s greenspace to make the city special, health better, improve stormwater drainage and also even the city’s water quality.

The program is made possible due to the partnership between the Reflection Riding Arboretum and Nature Center, the city of Chattanooga, and EPB.

With planting trees, residents can see increased shade, lower energy use, reduced soil erosion, wildlife promotion, local canopy restoration, and improved air quality.

We are expected to see this program continue to grow in the years to come.

In order to have qualified*, your home must have been located within the EPB service area and you must receive your electricity from EPB.
