EPB hosts “Stop By and Go Solar” event to promote community solar option

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — EPB promoted their solar share program at Ace Hardware on Highway 58.

They say this program is a way that home or business owners and renters can utilize solar power without the hassle of installing a panel on their roof.

Renting a panel can save you money on your electricity.

They also shared ways residents can make their homes energy efficient.

EPB’s John Pless says there is also another free program that can help you do that to your home and save money as well.

“E-score is really cool because it’s a free program where our energy expert’s come to your home and do a total check a hold of your home. They will tell you how energy-efficient your home is and they will identify areas where you can improve your efficiency and actually been actually get more value for the electricity that you buy,” Pless says.

The solar share information can be found here.
