Erlanger reinstates mask mandates in non-patients areas of hospitals
Due to the rising number of Covid cases
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – As the number of COVID cases rise again, Erlanger is toughening up their mask rules again.
They are reinstating mask wearing for non-clinical areas like offices, cafeterias, hallways, outpatient facilities and common areas.
Erlanger had dropped the mandate for those areas in May.
Face masks were already required in patient care areas.
“Our main goal at Erlanger is to keep our associates, providers, and patients safe; therefore, we are updating our masking guidelines to help prevent the spread of COVID.”
