Erlanger’s Believe Bash Brings Bollywood Glamour
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — It’s time to embrace vibrant colors, dazzling glamour, and rich cultural traditions—Erlanger’s Believe Bash is just around the corner!
This highly anticipated annual event serves as a major fundraiser for Erlanger, the region’s largest healthcare system and employer.
The funds raised will directly support Erlanger’s charitable initiatives, helping to fund projects that benefit both adults and children in need of medical care.
This year, the Believe Bash is embracing a “Bollywood” theme, inviting attendees to dress the part and immerse themselves in a night of cultural celebration.
In preparation for the event, a pre-Bash fashion show was held to showcase various styles of Indian clothing, offering attendees ideas on how to incorporate traditional attire into their own looks.
Sheila Boyington, Erlanger’s Board Chair and one of the co-chairs for the event, emphasized the significance of this fundraiser.
She explained that since Erlanger became a private 501(c)(3) nonprofit two years ago, community philanthropy has become an essential part of funding advancements in healthcare. Events like the Believe Bash play a crucial role in ensuring Erlanger continues to provide high-quality, cutting-edge care to its patients.
Boyington, who has lived in Chattanooga for the past six years, expressed her excitement about sharing her Indian heritage through the event’s Bollywood theme.
She also highlighted the overwhelming support from community leaders and sponsors, such as First Horizon, who have stepped up to make this night a success.
Rachel Allred, a member of Erlanger’s Advancement Council and a model in the fashion show, shared her personal connection to the hospital.
Having had children receive care at Erlanger, including a son who is an outpatient at the Kennedy Outpatient Center, she spoke about the hospital’s vital role in the community and how meaningful it is to contribute to its mission.
