Exciting spring events coming to the Creative Discovery Museum
Mackenzie Steele with the Creative Discovery Museum previews some events keeping them busy this spring.
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Creative Discovery Museum is flourishing with a filled schedule of fun events this spring!
This Saturday, the Creative Discovery Museum is celebrating World Quantum Day with an educational day on learning what is quantum science and technology.
Aligned with the new National Park City status, Creative Discovery Museum is celebrating Earth Week. The museum will be focusing on teaching sustainability and eco-friendly practices. The museum will have a volunteer committee called the Green Team who are committed to educating staff and the public on green initiatives.
For the adults who want to play like a kid, Drink and Discover returns this year with a 21+ adults only night. This month, the event is themed “game night” so the museum will have plenty of board games, life size games, and maybe human sized Hungry Hungry Hippos. Tickets will include an alcoholic drink with a souvenir cup and food. Additionally, the event is a fundraiser so funds will directly go to the museum to keep up with their educational exhibits.
The Creative Discovery Museum turns 30 this year, and they are throwing a massive block party! Saturday, May 10 will be the Creative Discovery Museum’s Day of Play which starts at 10 A.M. with general admission pricing set to when the museum opened in 1995. Chestnut Street will be shut down for the event with plenty of partners joining in on the celebration. Partygoers can expect performances, inflatables, and a visit from the mayor!
