Fake police report made at Marjorie Taylor Greene’s house

Caller later admitted to "swatting" Greene over her transgender stance

ROME, Georgia (WDEF) – Rome Police say their officers rushed to the home of Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene last night on a call that a man had been shot five times in a bathtub.

But when they got there, they found it never happened.

The call came from a VA crisis line around 1 AM.

A police report says the Congresswoman answered the door herself.

Afterwards, they got another call where a person said they “Swatted” Greene because they were upset by her stance on trans-gender youth’s rights.

Swatting is making a fake police report to embarrass the victim.

On Wednesday, Greene tweeted “Last night, I was swatted just after 1 am. I can’t express enough gratitude to my local law enforcement here in Rome, Floyd County. More details to come.”
