Fallen tree causes crash on I-24 in Marion County

MARION COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A tree fell on Interstate 24 eastbound Sunday night and caused a multi-vehicle crash.

It happened just before 10:30 p.m. CST at mile marker 161, according to the Haletown Volunteer Fire Department.

Multiple vehicles, including a semi-truck, were involved in the accident.

One person was injured and taken to a local hospital.

First responders cleared the crashes and then cleared the tree from the road.

None of the emergency personnel were injured.
