Falling Water fire breaks out again

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) Firefighters have returned to Walden’s Ridge above Falling Water to continue fighting the wildfire that has been burning for four days now.

It has once again jumped the fire breaks they have cut along the side of the mountain.

Officials expect they will spend all day trying to contain it again, but Roberts Mill Road is open.

Bulldozers are cutting new fire breaks on Tuesday and a helicopter is making water drops around the bluffs.

No structures are endangered at this time.

They say the task has become more difficult because firefighters are being dispatched across the county to battle other trash fires that have gotten out of control.

A fire ban is in effect in Hamilton County because of the dry conditions.

Amy Maxwell of Emergency Management urges citizens to even abandon their outdoor fire pits until we get some rain.
