Fatal motorcycle accident on Hixson Pike

HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A motorcycle crashed into a camping trailer being hauled by a pickup truck Wednesday night, HCSO said. Hamilton County Police said the motorcycle rider was unresponsive upon their arrival.

The accident took place on Hixson Pike around 7 p.m., according to police.

Officers said they immediately started CPR on the motorcyclist. Once Hamilton County Emergency Medical Services arrived, they pronounced the motorcycle rider dead.

Hamilton County Police said a pickup truck was pulling a large fifth wheel camping trailer. The truck turned left into a storage facility. At this time, the motorcycle was traveling south.

The motorcycle then stuck the back of the camping trailer, HCSO said.

Since the investigation is ongoing, police are not releasing the names of those involved yet.
