Father in alleged kidnapping case waives extradition from Colorado

CLEVELAND, Tenn. (WDEF) – The father accused of taking his 2-year old daughter to Colorado has waived his extradition back to Tennessee.

Michael Wilson is accused of picking his daughter up from a birthday party several weeks ago, and not bringing her back.

Authorities found 2-year-old Skyla Wilson and her father last week during a traffic stop more than 15-hundred miles away in Grand Junction, Colorado.

Bradley County Sheriff Eric Watson traveled with Skyla’s grandmother to Colorado to bring the toddler back to Cleveland.

The Sheriff’s Office will now prepare to bring Wilson back to Bradley County to face a felony charge of Aggravated Kidnapping.
