Female passenger dies in fatal crash in Alton Park

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – On Sunday evening, Chattanooga Police released the names of those involved in Saturday’s fatal crash in Alton Park.

Chattanooga Police identified the deceased passenger as 21 year old Jamie Griffin.

CPD says the driver was 29 year old Dustin Jeffrey Allen who sustained serious injuries in the crash.


 

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – According to Chattanooga Police, the accident occurred when a Honda Civic lost control in curve and hit a utility pole head on.

Chattanooga Police say the driver and passenger were taken to a local hospital where the passenger was pronounced dead.

Chattanooga Police say the driver sustained life-threatening injuries.

The Chattanooga Police Traffic Division are actively investigating the crash and names will not be released until the investigation is concluded.


CHATTANOOGA, Tenn.  (WDEF) – Chattanooga Fire officials tell News 12 that one person has died as a result of the crash in Alton Park earlier today.

There is no word at this time on the condition of the other person in the vehicle.


CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – A single vehicle crash at the intersection of East 38th and Jerome Avenue occurred around 3:30pm.

 

The vehicle hit a utility pole.

Two people were taken by ambulance to the hospital.
