Firefighters help several people across creek while responding to injury
HAMILTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A person became injured while at a Blue Hole Saturday, according to firefighters. The Mowbray Volunteer Fire Department (MVFD) helped get the person out of the park.
MVFD responded to the incident Saturday afternoon.
They said the injured person was at the Blue Hole on North Chickamauga Creek.
Firefighters extricated the injured person from the woods.
They then had to cross the creek, which was flowing heavily, according to firefighters. They said this made the task a little difficult.
However, they placed a hand line across the creek to help move the injured person across the water.
Afterwards, firefighters helped other visitors across the water as well. MVFD said they also helped across “one very grateful dog.”
Multiple agencies responded to assist those at the park. Those included Dallas Bay Fire and Rescue, Soddy Daisy Fire, Tennessee State Park Rangers and Hamilton County EMS.
