Fleischmann criticizes pro-Palestinian protestors, affirms support for Israel

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – Representative Chuck Fleischmann gave his thoughts on the latest developments in the Israel-Gaza conflict.

He spoke to a crowd of Republican supporters at this week’s Pachyderm Club meeting.

Representative Fleischmann said he is concerned by support for Palestine, citing a recent poll of Democratic voters that showed 46 percent of them supported Palestinians.

He especially expressed outrage at a handful of his colleagues who have criticized Israel such as Representative Rashida Tlaib of Michigan.

Rep. Fleischmann told the crowd, “Never thought I would see a time in the United States of America where there would be pro-Palestinian, pro-Hamas rallies. That’s disgusting, that’s wrong. I have stood for Israel for a long time.”

He says he will be urging the U.S. Government to continue its support of Israel.
