Flying Out of Atlanta Gets Cheaper Beginning Today

Atlanta (WDEF) We could see an airline price war in Atlanta this summer.

That’s because two discount airlines are increasing their presence at the Hartsfield-Jackson Airport.

Beginning today, Frontier Airlines is adding six new cities to their Atlanta connection… Cincinnati, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, New York LaGuardia, New Orleans and Minneapolis/St. Paul.

Frontier will become the city’s third largest carrier in a market dominated by Delta.

Spirit Airlines is also expanding in Atlanta.

The low cost carrier plans on adding nine routes to Hartsfield-Jackson.

Travel experts say we should see the most competition on flights to Chicago, Cleveland, Las Vegas, Los Angeles, Orlando and Philadelphia.

That’s where Frontier and Spirit will take on the big boys at Delta and Southwest.
