Former Cleveland police officer sentenced

Cleveland, Tenn. (WDEF) — Former Cleveland police officer Edwin Millan has been sentenced to three years in prison.

Millan was found guilty of tampering with evidence, false reporting, and insurance fraud while on duty.

In 2015, Millan said his police cruiser was stolen.

But investigators found out he actually set the car on fire in Murray County.

Millan had only been working for the police department a few days when this happened.
