Former Cleveland QB Austin Herink Making College Debut Tonight

Former Cleveland quarterback Austin Herink will make his college football debut tonight when ETSU entertains Kennesaw State.
Herink walked on at Middle Tennessee State after his senior year at Cleveland, and then transferred to ETSU.
Herink will share the quarterback duties tonight with Nick Sexton.
The two have been battling in camp, and Herink says the competition should help calm the nerves before tonight’s opener.
With me and Nick, we have to deal with that nervous energy before every pratice because it’s back-and-forth. I think that has prepared us a little bit having the practices like games. But I’m sure there’s going to be a little nervous energy. That’s what football is all about. If you don’t have butterflies, then you need to get out."
