Former Resource Officer indicted on theft charges

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – A former Red Back High School Resource Officer is indicted on charges of Theft of more than $1,000 and Forgery.

Hamilton County Deputy Charles Whitecotton was suspended in March during an internal affairs investigation.

Whitecotton resigned on October 1st, prior to his internal affairs hearing.

Whitecotton turned himself into the Hamilton County jail yesterday.
