Former Warren County drug investigator indicted

WARREN COUNTY, Tenn. (WDEF) — A former drug investigator for the Warren County Sheriff’s Department is facing indictment for misconduct.

The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI) has been investigating the actions of 39-year-old Steven Allen Carpenter.

A Warren County Grand Jury indicted Carpenter with three counts of official misconduct on June 2.

Carpenter surrendered himself on June 8.

Officers booked him and released him on his own recognizance.
