Formulated Solutions brings over 500 new jobs to Bradley County

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Governor Bill Lee, Community Development Commissioner Stuart McWhorter and Formulated Solutions Cleveland announced a recent acquisition by Formulated Solutions of a former Beiersdorf facility.

Formulated Solutions invested $44 million to acquire the facility and establish operations in Cleveland. They plan to use the facilities for the production of their pharmaceutical products.

To staff the facility, they plan to reach out to “the substantial majority” of former Beiersdorf employees, as well as staff 380 new positions.

Vice President of Economic Development of the Cleveland-Bradley Chamber, Doug Berry said that the new facility would generate over $900,000 in yearly revenue for the state of Tennessee.

Formulated Solutions was also very impressed with the Cleveland community. “They always had an interest in the community. They were concerned about being a part of the community and how accepting we would be to a new entry,” Berry said.
