Fort Oglethorpe hosts annual Easter Egg Scramble at Gilbert-Stephenson Park
Organizers say the event is completely free to the public and is designed to bring the community together, encouraging connection among friends, families, and neighbors.
Families also had the opportunity to take photos with the Easter Bunny, adding to the day’s festivities.
Children were divided into age groups to ensure everyone had a fair chance to participate.
Organizers say creating lasting memories is what matters most.
Bobby Daniels, Community Engagement Administrator, says the goal of the event goes beyond the egg hunt.
“That they had a good time, that they remember Fort Oglethorpe for creating a memory and making a memory. That’s what we hope folks did today, in spite of the cold weather and cold start.”
Organizers say events like this help strengthen community bonds and give families a chance to enjoy time together.
