Free pop-up medical and dental clinic this weekend in East Ridge

dental procecures, glasses, screenings, vaccines all available

EAST RIDGE, Tennessee (WDEF) – A nonprofit health care provide will offer free medical services in a pop-up clinic this weekend in East Ridge.

Remote Area Medical (RAM) offers dental, vision and medical care to underserved and uninsured people for free during the clinic.

They will be at Camp Jordan (323 Camp Jordan Pkwy) on Saturday and Sunday, first come, first served, beginning at 6AM.

“We are very excited to bring a RAM Clinic back to East Ridge this year,” said Community Host Group leader
Laura Ray. “It’s lifechanging for so many people. Just having one service done makes a huge difference not
just for one person, but for their entire family.”

Here’s what they are offering:

dental cleanings

dental fillings

dental extractions

dental x-rays

eye exams

glaucoma testing

eyeglass prescriptions

eyeglasses made on-site

mental health services

cancer screening services

COVID-19 vaccinations

flu shots

lung screenings

women’s health services

general medical exams

But you will have to choose between either DENTAL or VISION services, because of limited time.

All participants are required to wear masks and be screened for COVID-19.

Since lines can form, particularly for dental services, the parking lot will open as early as midnight.

RAM officials urge dental patients to arrive as early as possible.

“Remote Area Medical is glad to be able to help bring free services to those in need in the East Ridge
community,” said RAM CEO Jeff Eastman. “This has been a challenging time, and access to healthcare is
more important than ever before. Thank you to all the volunteers who are coming to help those in need.”
