Free Water for Life Event

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)- Water is a necessity and several groups around the Tennessee Valley want to make sure that the community takes care of our natural resources.

The Water for Life event showcases all of the things that clean water can provide.

The Kentucky Tennessee Water Professionals Conference is the largest annual water technical conference and exhibition in Kentucky and Tennessee.

This is the seventh time this event has been held for the community before the conference begins.

Daphne Kirksey, with Tennessee American Water, says, “We hope that the community takes away appreciation for water and how important it is to us. It’s the same amount of water that has been here since the beginning of time. We don’t make the water at Tennessee American Water, we treat it and it all comes from a natural resource and we all have to do our part to take care of it.”

Some local Breweries are partnering with Moccasin Bend Environmental Campus to re-purpose wastewater into beer.
