Fugitive arrested in Brainerd with drugs and illegal gun

CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Narcotics officers, the Fugitive Unit and eventually the SWAT team took part in an arrest last week near Brainerd.

Hamilton County Sheriff’s officers served a warrant for Marquelle Rhodes at a home on Connor Street near Eastgate on Thursday.

He was wanted for numerous felony charges, including failure to appear in court.

Narcotics detectives along with the TBI and HCSO Fugitive Unit saw him in the house but he refused to come out.

They called the SWAT Team and Rhodes eventually turned himself in.

Holdes has multiple drug charges on his criminal record and offices say they could see drugs at the home.

They say their search turned up a pint bottle of Promethazine / Hydrochloride syrup, approximately 17.3 grams of Fentanyl, approximately 1 gram of marijuana and an illegal AR-15 style pistol.

He just faces the outstanding charges now, but investigators say more charges are pending from the arrest.
