GA Man charged in death of 2-year-old son

DOUGLASVILLE, Ga. (AP) – A 23-year-old man has been charged in the death of his toddler son in Douglas County.

Local media outlets report Courtney Craig is charged with cruelty to children and felony murder in the Tuesday death of 2-year-old King Davis.

Authorities say Douglasville police responded to the Millwood Park Apartments for a report of a “suspicious death.”

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office spokesman Capt. Bruce Ferguson says the Georgia Bureau of Investigation is examining the child’s cause of death, which is still unknown. Ferguson did not give any other details.

Craig is being held without bond at the Douglas County Adult Detention Center.
