Gas prices climbing higher
CHATTANOOGA (WDEF) – Just before Memorial Day and the summer travel season, gas prices are rising across the country.
According to AAA, gas prices are up 5 cents in just the last week and 20 cents in the last month.
They are hitting levels not seen in more than three years.
In Tennessee, the average gas price is $2.62.
In Georgia, it’s about ten cents higher.
Experts say prices at the pump are still well below the all time high of $4.11 a gallon, in 2008.
