Gators Coach Jim McElwain Humbled After Going Through Hurricane Irma

Losing to Tennessee last year wasn’t easy for Gators head coach Jim McElwain.
But going through Hurricane Irma this week proved to be much more difficult.
A somber McElwain addressed the media Wednesday about how the Hurricane has affected him and his players.
Said McElwain:”You can’t just say it didn’t happen. But what do we learn from it and how we go about rebuilding? Sometimes 3rd down and 7 is not the most important thing in life. One of the great lessons you learn in athletics and especially the game of football. Sometimes you get knocked down. And uh. The measure of a true man is how he gets back up.”
