GBI looking for suspect who blew up Georgia Guideposts
The "American Stonehenge" was seen by some as a monument to Satan
ELBERTON, Georgia (WDEF) – It may be a simple case of vandalism to the GBI, but some say it was a righteous act.
Investigators are trying to determine who blew up a part of the Georgia Guidestones near Elberton, Georgia (East of Atlanta).
The Guidestones have been called America’s Stonehenge, but some just say they were satanic.
The Genesis of the monument isn’t a mystery on the Stonehenge level.
It was built in 1980 by a man who called himself “R.C. Christian.”
The Guidestones seem to be modeled after the ancient Celtic stones in Great Britain.
The six granite stones form an X. They line up to match the moon’s rotation around the Earth and can serve as a sundial and an astronomical calendar.
The stones also have writings in multiple languages, with “wisdom for the ages” including an appeal to drop the world population to 500,000,000.
But many believe the Guidestones are satanic, saying “Christian” really worshiped the devil.
In fact, a candidate for Governor this year called for their destruction as part of her campaign.
Kandace Taylor claimed “I am the ONLY candidate willing to stand up to the Satanic Cabal. Time is running out to support my fight.”
Today she tweeted “God is God all by Himself. He can do ANYTHING He wants to do. That includes striking down Satanic Guidestones.”
Which takes us back to 4 AM Wednesday morning.
An explosion took out one of the pillars.
The GBI has posted video of the explosion and a vehicle leaving the scene.
They are looking for the suspect.
But several people commenting on the post praised the destruction.
One read “This was not vandalism. This was the destruction of evil.”
