Georgia Awaits the Challenge of Playing Alabama

Alabama heads to Athens this weekend as an underdog for the first time since 2009.
Georgia coach Mark Richt said today he had no reaction to that fact. The Dawgs only concern is being at their best for Bama.
Georgia and Alabama may be border states, but they don’t face each other very much.
So watch out Saturday between the hedges.
Said Georgia running back Nick Chubb-"It’s going to be crazy I think. It was crazy against South Carolina. We’re playing a ranked team. It’s Alabama, so I think it will be even crazier this week."
Added linebacker Jordan Jenkins-"It’s SEC football. When you play an SEC game, you just know it’s going to be a long, physical game."
The Tide and Dawgs will match strength versus strength.
Said Chubb-"They’re built to stop the run. We’re built to run the ball, so it will be a great challenge for us. It’s going to be a great game."
While Alabama already has one SEC loss, it’s still Alabama.
Said head coach Mark Richt-"Just the way they look. They’re big, strong, very athletic guys, and well coached. Just what everybody expects their team to be and recruits to. They just do a good job over there."
Said linebacker Jake Ganus-"I mean they’re a great football team. There’s no denying that. No one is going to argue that. I think for us, we just have to focus on ourselves. Clean up the little things. Clean up the little mistakes."
The Dawgs and Tide battled in the SEC title game back in 2012, and Saturday’s game should feel like another title tilt.
Said Richt-"Right now, we’re undefeated in SEC play. We want to keep it that way. We’re battling to get to Atlanta just like Alabama is too. So it ought to be a great battle, and I’m looking forward to it."
Georgia and Alabama kick at 3:30pm Saturday on WDEF News 12.
