Georgia Bulldogs Feel Faster Under the Lights

Georgia gets their first night game of the year as they entertain Vanderbilt Saturday at 7:30. Dawgs head coach Kirby Smart is a fan of night contests, especially when it’s at Sanford Stadium. Smart believes his team is actually faster when they go under the lights.

Said Smart:”I mean I’m excited for the players. I think they enjoy it. I think you know it’s cooler longer, so typically on our GPS system we get higher speeds at night. Our fastest games last year were night games. They sustain it longer. I think we are just as fast in an afternoon game, but not as long. Not for as many yards. But that’s true for the other team too. So the game is faster. I think they enjoy it more. I think the fan base enjoys it more. More of a build up for it.”
