Georgia man gets 20 years after meth trafficking conviction
DALTON, Georgia (WDEF) – Prosecutors say a northwest Georgia man has been found guilty of drug trafficking.
A jury convicted 49 year old Jonathan Alexander of trafficking and possession of meth and marijuana.
Last February, agents with the Lookout Mountain Drug Task Force went to a camper in Walker County looking for a wanted suspect, Cheyanne Roberts.
While they were picking her up, they noticed drugs in the camper.
After getting a search warrant, they say they found a variety of drugs, including half a pound of meth.
The Judge sentenced Alexander immediately after the verdict was delivered.
He got 20 years of jail time.
