Georgia Schools Join with Articulation Agreement
CALHOUN, GA (WDEF) – A major milestone in higher education was achieved today as three regional institutions came together to expand opportunities for students.
Dalton State College, Georgia Highlands College, and Georgia Northwestern Technical College have officially signed an articulation agreement that paves the way for smoother transitions between their programs.
An articulation agreement is an agreement to transfer credits from one educational institution to another so that students can complete a program, credential, certificate, or degree without taking duplicate courses.
Credits earned at one college will be eligible for transfer between colleges.
Students seeking to further their education by pursuing a bachelor’s degree at a 4-year institution may choose this option with a variety of different schools.
The ceremony was attended by faculty and community leaders, all of whom celebrated the shared commitment to education and economic growth in Northwest Georgia.
This agreement is set to take effect immediately, and all three institutions are encouraging students to explore their options.
An exciting development for students across the region! For more information about the articulation agreement and how it could benefit you, visit GNTC’s website on articulation agreements. You can find it here.
