Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians Honor Dr. Rebecca Ashford as Trailblazer in Education at Annual Trefoil Luncheon

Members of the Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians gathered today to honor a trailblazer in education during their annual Trefoil Luncheon.

Doctor Rebecca Ashford, the president of Chattanooga State Community college, was celebrated for her outstanding commitment to education, community service, and empowering young leaders.

“We are celebrating Dr. Rebecca Ashford today, who is the president of Chattanooga State, and we are thrilled to honor a woman who is so embedded in and involved with the community. She exemplifies the values of Girl Scouts as a leader, and we are truly excited to have her with us today,” said Alicia White Price, Chief Development Officer for Girl Scouts of the Southern Appalachians.

Girl Scout officials say this is a yearly tradition and brings together community leaders to celebrate the achievements of exceptional women in our area.
