Glass Street Block Party Brings Community Together in Chattanooga

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF)A neighborhood street in Chattanooga turned into a vibrant celebration of music, food, and community this weekend.

Glass Roots, a local nonprofit, hosted its third annual block party—closing down the intersection of Glass Street and North Chamberlain Avenue and transforming it into a lively outdoor gathering space.

A stage was set up right in the middle of the street, where live music filled the air, while more than 50 local vendors lined the roadway offering food, art, and handmade goods.

One East Chattanooga resident said the event was all about bringing people together during a time when connection matters most.

“Glass Roots is putting on a third annual block party, so we’re just celebrating community—getting members of the community to come out, enjoy each other, celebrate love, create new relationships, and be involved with each other. Especially at a time like this, we just want to be right here in the moment with each other.”

The event once again brought neighbors together for a fun and meaningful day centered around community and connection.
