Gov. Kemp gets his Covid vaccine in South Georgia
WAYCROSS, Ga. (WDEF) – Georgia’s Governor headlined his vaccine out on Friday by getting the shot, himself.
Governor Kemp got his single-dose Johnson and Johnson vaccine at the Ware County Health Department in Waycross.

He was joined by his youngest daughter, Amy Porter. The Governor’s wife got her vaccine earlier.
Georgia now offers the vaccine to everyone over 16.
The Governor is touring southeastern Georgia to promote vaccines.
Earlier this week, he noted a stronger resistance to getting the vaccine in rural, south Georgia.
So he’s trying to change some minds.
