Gov. Lee announces local FEMA assistance

NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WDEF) – Many Tennesseans who were impacted by severe weather earlier this year can finally get some help.

Governor Bill Lee announced that federal recovery assistance will be available to 45 counties impacted by the severe weather we had in early March.

That includes Hamilton, Marion, Meigs, Polk and Rhea Counties.

Eligible government entities and certain private non-profits can apply for reimbursement on storm related expenses from FEMA.
