Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame Athletes of the Year

Chattanooga, TN (WDEF) – Olympic swimmer Sean Ryan and Southeastern Conference softball pitcher of the year Kelsey Nunley will be honored on February 27th as the Greater Chattanooga Sports Hall of Fame’s male and female athletes of the year.

Two Bradley County residents, Maggie Scott of Charleston and Bobby Scott of Cleveland, will receive the Betty Probasco and Walt Lauter awards for lifetime achievement and service, and fourth-place Paralympics triathlete Elizabeth Baker of Signal Mountain will get the Morgan/Morris Award for overcoming significant adversity.

“This year’s honorees are an exceptional group,” Hall of Fame president Mickey Haddock said, “and we are proud not only to have them representing our area’s sports community but to show them appreciation and gratitude for their achievements and contributions.”

The five will be honored along with 20 previously announced new members of the hall at its 6:30pm induction banquet that Monday at the Chattanooga Convention Center.
