Greenway Dog Park Nears Completion: Construction Update
Chattanooga’s beloved Greenway Dog Park is getting a makeover.
Chattanooga Parks and Outdoors says the park is undergoing renovations and construction to enhance accessibility for all visitors.
Those include installing a pathway that meets A-D-A standards and ensuring that all parts of the park are accessible to individuals with disabilities.
“We’re seeing some pretty big improvements out of Greenway Farms. One thing that we’re doing is addressing some ADA needs, we have just installed a new path that goes from the bathroom out of Greenway Farms to the dog park, that’s going to make it a lot easier and more accessible for everybody. Within the dog park we are actually putting in ADA accessible pads both for the small dog park and the large dog park and on top of that working to address a brand-new splash park as well” said Communications Director Brian Smith.
The park is expected to open back up in a week or two.
