Grocery Store Chain Holds Holiday Open House
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — Food City grocery stores are getting their customers excited about the holidays.
On Saturday, area stores held their annual Holiday Open House.
Customers got to enjoy lots of food samples. They tried traditional foods and drinks like ham and apple cider, to some not-so-traditional items like chicken salad and sushi.
Workers say it’s good to let them try new things.
“Just throwing some ideas at them that they might not be thinking about or going ahead and getting them ready now so they’re ready when the holidays get here,” said Cary Anselment, Food City store manager.
Open house tastings were held throughout the day.
