Group Helps Residents Register to Vote
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) — With a presidential election less than two months away, a group of Chattanoogans is motivating residents to register to vote.
GoVoteCHA is teaming up with churches to canvass neighborhoods with traditionally low voter turnout.
Then folks can get registered.
Organizers say they’re also reaching out to people online, letting them know how important it is to get involved in the process.
“What I’ve stressed to people is your vote is your voice,” said Chantelle Roberson, GoVoteCHA. “If you don’t use your voice on people that are making decisions on your behalf every single day, you’re basically trusting your future to them.”
The deadline to register to vote is October 11.
