Guns, cash & drugs found in DeKalb County raid

COLLINSVILLE, Alabama (WDEF) – A host of drug officers searched a home in Collinsville, Alabama over the weekend and came back with quite a haul.

On Sunday, the DeKalb County Drug Task Force, Alabama Drug Enforcement Task Force, along with the DEA and the DeKalb county Sheriff’s Office SRT Team served a search warrant at a home on County Road 22 in the Mount Vernon area.

Agents say they found three pounds of meth, three pounds of marijuana, and various controlled prescription drugs.

They also came away with $30,000 in cash and a haul of 20 guns.

Ismael Acevedo-Rodriquez, 28 and Krystal Fatima-Gallegos, 27, face possession and trafficking charges.

They will also face federal charges at some point, too.

Officers also turned over three children found at the home to the Department of Human Resources.

Sheriff Jimmy Harris says “All of these agencies working together did a great job on this investigation and in making these arrest. We have a zero tolerance drug policy and we will continue this effort in riding drugs from this County.
