Halloween Fun Returns to Chattanooga Zoo

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (WDEF) – The Chattanooga Zoo is bringing the Halloween spirit back with two festive events this October, one for families and one just for adults.

Families can enjoy seven nights of Boo in the Zoo, running October 10, 11, 17, 18, 24, 25, and 31 from 4 to 8 p.m.

The family-friendly tradition includes trick-or-treating throughout the Zoo, character meet and greets with favorites like Spider-Man, Moana, and Elsa, plus a bounce house, scavenger hunt, and costume contests for kids.

Guests can bring their own candy bags or pick one up at the Zoo.

Zoo President and CEO Darde Long says Boo in the Zoo has become a beloved tradition for many families across the region, offering a safe and exciting way to celebrate Halloween.

“We love seeing families come back year after year,” Long said.

“It’s a fun, high-energy event where kids can enjoy the Zoo in a completely different way.”

For adults looking for a night out, Frights & Pints returns on October 23 from 6 to 9 p.m.

This 21+ event transforms the Zoo after dark with a live DJ, dance floor, fire dancers, a costume contest, and plenty of beer and wine options.

VIP guests can also enjoy a private lounge with an open bar, hors d’oeuvres, and up-close animal experiences.

Whether you’re trick-or-treating with little ones or dancing the night away with friends, the Chattanooga Zoo offers something for everyone this Halloween season.

Tickets for both Boo in the Zoo and Frights & Pints are available now at chattzoo.org.
